Muay Thai Sangha is an evolving path dedicated to transforming life warrior into self-healers. With a foundation of self-awareness and focused intention, we discipline our bodies by training to perfect the fighting arts and refine our minds through the practice of internal arts.
The main purpose of all Muay Thai Sangha training is to become more present with oneself, and to achieve balance in every aspect of life. The skills that we develop through physical and internal training prove to be just as useful in life as they are in combat.
The training approach in the Muay Thai Sangha Fighting Arts system can be compared to that of MMA (mixed martial arts). It emphasizes correct posture, structural alignment, awareness of one’s center of gravity, and the development of balance through proper body-weight distribution.

It must be emphasized that we are not limited by the rules of sport muay Thai – That means we also train for real self-defense situations – So attacks to the groin, throat and eyes are often part of our training, along with a variety of throws, sweeps and ground-fighting techniques.
The essence of the internal arts is found in developing the ability to resolve conflict without fighting, and the skill to defend oneself without causing harm.
The concepts of Muay Sangha Internal arts can be applied to the fighting arts perfectly. However, the internal curriculum is designed to work deeply with one’s consciousness through physical, respiratory and energetic awareness, preparing students to flow with aggressive energy and transform it to their advantage.
This kind of training has no strikes, and instead emphasizes sweeps, locks and throws which are all related to disrupting the opponent’s balance.
The Internal arts training maintains a foundation of open-handed movements and footwork patterns designed to absorb, flow with, and deflect an opponent’s force. Internal training develops the student’s ability to yield to and redirect the pressing force of an opponent – separating their center of balance (mind) and center of mass (body) – then using that moment of vulnerability to turn the situation to their advantage.
